Surfing and stand up paddling in South Africa
South Africa is known for its long, well-formed, and widely spaced waves. There are numerous bays with excellent surfing conditions on both the Atlantic side and the Indian Ocean side (False Bay).
There are more than 10 surf schools in Muizenberg, just a 35-minute drive from “da Heim”. There is also a bay with good beginner-friendly conditions at Bloubergstrand, only 10 minutes north of Sunset Beach. Advanced surfers can find waves up to 4 meters high on good summer days and up to 6 meters in winter.
